We
at Queensbridge are pleased to report that after a full external
assessment by an independent accredited assessor in October 2006 we
were successful in gaining the international environmental standard ISO
14001.
Queensbridge Limited recognises that balancing
non-financial factors such as the environment and social issues with
financial priorities is an essential part of good citizenship.
We
have a direct impact on the environment through our daily consumption
of energy and resources. We recognise that our business activities
necessitate the use of various non renewable sources of energy such
as fossil fuels, in the form of petrol, diesel fuel and liquid
petroleum gasses. Within our offices we use electricity and natural gas
to provide heat and light and to power computers and other IT based
equipment. In the general management of the business we use paper
resources, we recognise the necessity to minimise waste in this area.
We
recognise that the policies we adopt today will shape not only our
lives but also the lives of those of future generations. We therefore
have an opportunity to make a positive contribution to environmental
and social concerns by enacting policies designed to ensure that our
business activities cause minimum degradation to the environment. It is
our policy to comply with all applicable environmental legislation and
other environmental requirements.
To demonstrate our
commitment Queensbridge Limited has adopted a comprehensive
environmental policy this policy will be implemented within an
Environmental Management System which will fully comply with BS EN
ISO14001: 2004 the policy includes planning, training, implementation
and operation, measurement, reporting and review. We are committed to a
process of continual improvement through the interaction of these
processes.
We aim to recycle a minimum of
70% of waste materials which would previously have gone to landfill
sites; currently we are recycling in excess of 90% of our waste
materials through a dedicated waste management organisation (Circle
Ltd.)
We intend to recycle 100% of all office waste paper and cardboard.

We employ tracking systems on all our vans which help in the
economical management of the vehicles and enable us to minimise
emissions to the atmosphere and minimise the use of non-renewable
fossil fuels.
 In our head quarters offices
we have instituted procedures for minimising the use of energy and we
intend to reduce our use of paper resources by 5% in the coming year.
